The Embassy of China in Greece, in collaboration with the Federation of Hellenic Associations of Travel & Tourism Agencies (FedHATTA) and the Municipality of Athens, held a Chinese New Year celebration on Friday, January 31, at Syntagma Square.
The Federation extended an invitation to Chinese visitors currently in Athens to participate in the event, which was also attended by a large number of passers-by as it included traditional Chinese dances and live music.
The event was prefaced by the Consul of the Chinese Embassy, ??Mr. Zhu Zhigang, who emphasized the fact that the New Year coincided with the Spring Festival in the country’s tradition.
Mr. Zhu Zhigang wished the visitors a happy Chinese New Year and emphasized that Greece is a safe destination for Chinese tourists, inviting them to visit it.
