FedHATTA: The most popular destinations for Easter in Greece and abroad

A small decrease is noted in reservations for this year’s Easter period in Greek destinations, according to the current picture of demand recorded by Greek travel agency members of the Federation of Greek Travel & Tourism Agency Associations (FedHATTA).
Against the backdrop of the positive timing of the calendar coincidence of Catholic and Orthodox Easter this year, as well as the fact that Easter 2024 was in May, FedHATTA records a decline in demand from international travelers compared to the corresponding Easter period last year, and a marginal decrease in domestic and outbound tourism by Greeks.

It is estimated that this year’s Easter period has the potential for further increases in bookings in the coming period, as a large part of the travel public remains undecided and is expected to make last-minute bookings.

The most popular destinations in these markets for this period are Athens, the South Aegean islands, Crete, the Peloponnese, and Halkidiki, while cruises also absorb a significant part of the demand.
