The Tunisian Ambassador to Greece, Ms. Souad Trabelsi, visited the offices of the Federation of Hellenic Associations of Travel & Tourism Agencies (FedHATTA) and the Association of Tourist and Travel Agencies in Greece (HATTA) in Athens.
During the meeting held by Ms. Trabelsi with the President of FedHATTA, Mr. Lysandros Tsilidis, the prospects for strengthening tourism flows between Greece and Tunisia were discussed. Strategic ways to strengthen tourism between the two countries were focused on, with an emphasis on organized tourism and issues related to the facilitation of travel.
The President of FedHATTA highlighted the importance of cooperation in the travel agency sector of the two countries, focusing on the exchange of knowledge and the promotion of quality travel experiences. He also highlighted ways to further develop the momentum in outbound and inbound travel from Tunisia, a country that is in the process of strategically strengthening its tourism.
In the context of strengthening this strategy, the Ambassador was suggested that Tunisia participate in the Philoxenia exhibition as an important opportunity – in organizing presentations of the country’s destinations, in Greece, mainly to Greek travel agencies – and in organizing a mission of Greek travel agencies and journalists to Tunisia for business meetings and promotion.
Regarding the meeting with Ms. Trabelsi, Mr. Tsilidis, stated: “This meeting is another step towards closer cooperation and the strengthening of relations between Greece and Tunisia in the tourism sector, highlighting the common goal of sustainable development and strengthening of travel flows in our country as well as outbound tourism of Greeks.”
