Greece-Kosovo ties strengthen in the travel agency market

The Federation of Hellenic Associations of Travel & Tourism Agencies (FedHATTA) and the Association of Tourist and Travel Agencies in Greece (HATTA) welcomed the Head of the Kosovo Interests Office in Athens, Mr. Fitim Gllareva, at an official working meeting held on October 30, 2025, at the offices of the Federation and the Association in Athens.

The meeting is part of the broadening of the perspectives for enriching the offered organized tour packages in Greece with new destinations, while at the same time the possibilities of developing tourist mobility from Greece to Kosovo were examined, through new synergies and joint initiatives in the travel agency sector.

The President of FedHATTA, Mr. Lysandros Tsilidis, highlighted the strategic importance of cooperation between the travel agencies of the two countries, emphasizing that organized and institutional networking is a foundation for the development of stable and productive relations in tourism. As he stated, “cooperation between tourism professionals is a prerequisite for mutual development and the strengthening of regional tourism dynamics”.

As part of the planning of this strategy, it was proposed to schedule a special event during the Philoxenia exhibition for the signing of a cooperation agreement between FedHATTA and the Kosovo Tourism Association as a first step towards developing closer cooperation. Mr. Tsilidis added: “Our aim is to further develop the activities between the travel agencies of the two countries and to contribute to the promotion of the tourism packages of each country.”
