FedHATTA and HATTA at 40th Philoxenia-Hotelia – Strategic partnerships and emphasis on alternative tourism

The Federation of Hellenic Associations of Travel & Tourism Agencies (FedHATTA) and the Association of Tourist and Travel Agencies in Greece (HATTA) will once again have a strong presence at the 40th Philoxenia-Hotelia exhibition (November 14-16). HATTA, together with the Association of Tourist Agencies of Macedonia and Thrace (ATGA) and its members, will form a unified representation of the sector at the exhibition, while HATTA Outdoors, which specializes in alternative and thematic tourism, will highlight outdoor tourism.

The Federation and Association’s pavilion, in aisle 13 (A04), will host this year a multi-faceted cluster of partners, representatives of travel agencies and tourism organizations, highlighting the continuous growth and extroversion of the tourism industry.

In this context, National Bank will present specialized financial packages for travel agencies, offering modern support and development tools, and Panasoft will talk about new technological solutions that aim at the more efficient operation and organization of tourism businesses.

At the same time, the Municipality of Megara will present the authentic sights of Attica, showcasing an alternative tourism proposal in the wider region.

During Philoxenia-Hotelia, FedHATTA will also host important events. On November 14, at 12:00, at the Federation’s pavilion, the signing of a Cooperation Agreement with the Kosovo Interests Office in Athens will take place, accompanied by a presentation of the destination. At 12:30 on the same day, an honorary distinction will be awarded at the Federation’s pavilion to Nikos Tsakanikas, one of the first tour operators to open the US market to Greece, with the creation of Homeric Tours in 1969.

On November 15, at the Open Stage of the exhibition, two consecutive presentations will be held: “The experts of outdoors in Greece” by HATTA Outdoors with speaker Panos Georgilas (14:00 – 15:00) and “A visit to authentic Attica” by the municipality of Megara with speaker Dimitris Georgakis (15:00 – 16:00).

The President of FedHATTA, Mr. Lysandros Tsilidis, stated: “On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Philoxenia, the Federation continues to promote cooperation, innovation and extroversion, confirming its decisive role in shaping and strengthening Greek tourism. This year we will place particular emphasis on the promotion of alternative tourism in Greece, which offers multiple benefits in more destinations and for a longer period of the year. Our long-term goal is to contribute to the development of a resilient tourism product that will be a vehicle for sustainable, resilient and fair economic growth for all.”
