Greek PM visits Corinth Canal to be briefed on the restoration plan

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis Saturday visited the Corinth Canal, which is closed due to landslides, in order to be briefed on the restoration plan that is in progress, ANA reports.
“After many many years, a substantial intervention is held at the Canal of total cost 9 million euros” stated the prime minister.
“It is a very important project and we should not forget that it was built in the 19th century and now, in the 21st century, the time has come for the necessary interventions” Mitsotakis stressed.
