Three decisions for floating platforms were approved by the competent bodies, for placement in marine areas of Corfu, Mykonos and the port of Nea Peramos in Elefsina.
In particular, the General Secretariat of Ports, Port Policy and Maritime Investments, approved the re-placement of a floating platform, with a total area of 29.71 sq m. in the marine area of Agios Ioannis Peristeron, Strongyli, in front of the MARBELLA CORFU hotel, for the purpose of mooring boats, on behalf of the company MARBELLA S.A. and for seasonal use up to 9 months.
It is noted that, among other things, the use of the floating platform for the installation and operation of restaurants or entertainment centers is not permitted, nor can it serve as permanent mooring sites for boats or for advertising purposes. Also, in the event of the discovery of ancient or cultural objects during the installation of the floating platform, those responsible for the project must stop them and immediately notify the Ephorate of Underwater Antiquities.
Furthermore, the floating platform should be placed at a safe distance from any port projects located or being constructed in the specific sea area, as well as from maritime hazards, especially shipwrecks, areas where tides are observed, etc. Additionally, the floating platform should not impede safe navigation or be located within navigable channels and sea routes, as well as in areas where submarine cables and pipelines are laid.
At the same time, the municipality of Mykonos gave a positive opinion on the re-installation of a floating assembled platform in the Agios Ioannis Diakoftis marine zone, following a request from the company DIAKOFTIS TOURISM AND HOTEL COMPANY S.A.
Finally, the Port Authority of Elefsina (OLE) S.A. approved the granting of the special right of simple use of the Port Sea Zone for the installation of a floating platform for seasonal use, for the purpose of mooring vessels, in the port facility of Nea Peramos under the jurisdiction of OLE. S.A., on behalf of the company GK YACHTING & MORE E.E., as permitted in return for financial consideration, following the issuance of a decision to appoint the Secretary General of Ports, Port Policy and Maritime Investments of the Ministry of Shipping and Insular Policy.
