A series of projects for the modernization of the Tourlos Marina are underway by the Mykonos Port Fund.
The works concern the repair and restoration of the quay and the laying of cement layers for its protection, as well as the repair of the boat launching and lifting ramp and the filling of the excavation with graded material at the back of the artificial boulders.
At the same time, the formwork of the superstructure of the Islet has been completed and its concreting follows, while the last stage of the works is the concreting of the superstructure and the installation of moorings and bumpers.
According to the President of the Port Fund, Ath. Kousathanas-Mega, the works aim to provide even better service to docked vessels, as part of the ongoing effort to further develop yachting which, together with cruising, contributes to the qualitative upgrade of the island and to the income enhancement of the local economy.
