Services between Irini (Eirini) and Kifissia stations on Line 1 of the Athens metro were interrupted on Monday due to a tree that fell on a carriage at Kifissia station shortly after midnight, without causing any injuries, ANA reports.
STASY repair crews worked overnight to remove the train and the fallen tree and check for possible damage to the infrastructure and the rails. Until normal services are restored, passengers will be carried between Irini and Kifissia stations on shuttle buses, which will also stop at Neratziotissa station.
