The beginning of the works for the construction of the new Patras – Pyrgos highway was announced by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, from a construction site in Geraki, in Amaliada, protothema.gr reports.
The new highway will reduce the trip from Patras to Pyrgos by 40 minutes.
It is a road with three lanes, in each direction, 8 junctions, 64 crossings, and 15 bridges. The project is expected to be completed in early 2025.
“The new highway Patras – Pyrgos is a practical proof that we provide solutions based on the interest of many”, the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Kostas Ach. Karamanlis noted.
