A work stoppage on January 23 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, and a protest march to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport were decided by the Board of Directors of the Taxi Drivers’ Union of Attica (SATA) during a meeting where the draft law on the new Road Traffic Code was discussed, ANA reports.
By unanimous decision, the Council decided to escalate efforts to ascertain the use of bus lanes at least by loaded taxis.
The gathering of cars is scheduled for 09:30 am at the junction of Spyros Patsis Street and Athens Avenue. This will be followed by a march to the Ministry of Transport, and a petition with the demands of the sector will be delivered.
