Following the successful implementation of the Thessaly Evros Pass program in 2024, the application platform will reopen for 2025 on Wednesday, July 23.
This initiative is a joint effort by the Ministries of National Economy and Finance, Interior, Tourism, Digital Governance, and Climate Crisis and Civil Protection. Its purpose is to support tourism in areas of Thessaly that were affected by the floods of September 2023, and in areas of Evros that were affected by the wildfires of summer 2023.
Program Overview
The pass covers three destinations (Thessaly A, Thessaly B, and Evros) across three periods in 2025:

Selected applicants will receive digital vouchers that can be used in the specified areas for:

Eligible Areas
Thessaly A: Municipality of South Pelion, Municipality of Zagora-Mouresi, Municipality of Volos
Thessaly B: Municipality of Lake Plastiras, Municipality of Agia, Municipality of Tempi, Municipality of Pyli (excluding the municipal units of Gomfoi and Pialeia), Municipality of Meteora
Evros: Municipality of Soufli, Municipal Unit of Feres in the Municipality of Alexandroupolis
Application Period
From Wednesday, July 23 to Friday, July 25, 2025
Platform: vouchers.gov.gr
Recipients will be selected through an electronic lottery after the application period ends. The results will be published on the program’s official website.
Budget and Objective
Total budget: approximately 2 million euros
Total cards: 11,328
Objective: To boost tourism and support the local economy in the affected areas
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
Be tax residents of Greece (based on their 2023 tax return)
Not have declared their main residence in the eligible areas
Not be:
Beneficiaries of DYPA’s Social Tourism Program for 2024–2025 or expected beneficiaries for 2025–2026
Recipients of similar benefits from another program for the same periods
Note: Permanent residents of the areas included in the program are excluded from eligibility.
Application Process
Applications are submitted online at vouchers.gov.gr using TaxisNet credentials.
Applicants must:
Provide contact details (email and mobile number) and confirm them
Select a destination and time period
Declare that they meet the eligibility criteria
If the contact information is already listed in the National Contact Registry, no further confirmation is needed.
Alternatively, applications may be submitted at Citizens’ Service Centers (KEP).
Card Issuance and Use
Those selected will receive a digital card before the start of the period for which they were selected. Activation instructions will be sent by the payment services provider.
To use the card, a smartphone with NFC technology is required.
Note: Applications cannot be cancelled or corrected after the deadline.
Program Administration
The Thessaly Evros Pass is implemented by GRNET (National Infrastructures for Research and Technology), under the Ministry of Digital Governance, and is funded by the Public Investment Program.
