Santorini is among the top 25 island cruise destinations in the world for 2025, according to an article published in the January/February 2025 issue of the British edition of National Geographic Traveller.
The magazine characterizes Santorini as a Cycladic star with its own cultural wealth consisting of Minoan archaeological finds in Akrotiri, a Byzantine cathedral and clusters of galleries in Oia.
Santorini, it is also reported, is the base of the first island helicopter transfer service, Hoper, offering the possibility of island-hopping in record time and a travel time from Athens that does not exceed 70 minutes.
