The port of Heraklion continues to break cruise records, recording this year the best performance of all time. The Heraklion Port Authority (OLI) announced that by the end of 2025 the number of passengers is expected to exceed any previous one, with the city dynamically establishing itself on the international map of top cruise destinations.

According to the data, more than 317,000 visitors have already arrived to date, a number increased by 25% compared to 2024, while at the end of the year it is estimated that they will exceed 350,000. At the same time, the number of cruise ship arrivals has also increased, with a total of 270 cruise ship arrivals scheduled.

Meanwhile, the port’s Master Plan is being completed this month.
