No ferries in Greece on November 24 due to seamen's 24-hour strike

The union representing Greek seamen, PNO, on Tuesday announced a 24-hour strike for Thursday, November 24, which means that there will be no passenger ferry services to and from the Greek islands or Italy.

The workers are protesting social security reforms that they say will threaten the survival of their fund as well as eat away at their pensions. They have also taken issue with labor market regulations that they see as curbing their rights.

PNO also called on dockworkers to join the action.
