This year’s strong demand for holidays in Greek destinations will also have a positive impact on coastal shipping companies, Mr. Konstantinos Bissias, a partner at the Voigt Maritime Agency told German magazine Touristik Aktuell.
Ferry companies to benefit the most are Anek Lines, Superfast Ferries and Minoan Lines.
As Mr.Bisias points out, holidays in Greece by ferry and car are much cheaper, especially for families, in comparison to air travel.
“Unfortunately, this alternative is not actively promoted by travel agents,” he said.
