Ferry service cancelled due to strong winds in Greece

Boats continue to be docked at Greece’s central port Piraeus due to gale-force winds, with sailings to the eastern Aegean islands, the Cyclades, Crete and the Dodecanese cancelled on Wednesday, ANA reports.

Other cancellations include the following sailings: from Lavrio port to Agios Efstratios, Limnos and Kavala; from Kyllini to Zakynthos and Cephalonia islands; Corfu to Lefkimi; and Kavala to Prinos on Thasos island.

Passengers are well advised to call ahead of time for future sailings.
