The Panhellenic Seamen’s Federation has unanimously decided to extend the nationwide 48-hour strike across all categories of ferries, ANA reports.
Μaritime unions held gatherings at the Port of Piraeus and conducted informational meetings aboard the ferries on Wednesday. Among their demands is the signing of new labor contracts for 2025, with wage increases reaching 12% while ferry operators have countered with a 3% offer.
The unions are also requesting a meeting with the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy Christos Stylianides.
