The President of Seajets and AEK Marios Iliopoulos made two sponsorships to the Municipality of Alonissos following a request from the municipality.
As was announced at a relevant meeting of the municipal committee of the municipality, Mr. Iliopoulos, responding to a request from the Municipality, announced that he wishes to make a kind sponsorship for the upgrade of the courtyard of the Alonissos Primary School. This is an action that has a significant impact on the local community, families, and primary school students on the island.
In addition, it was announced that it wishes to make a kind sponsorship for the organization of the Municipality’s cultural activities in order to strengthen the cultural identity of the island and promote Alonissos as a sustainable tourist destination.
From the Municipality’s side, it is noted that the sponsorships will be duly displayed in all printed and digital media of the action, on posters, in the school community, in press releases, as well as through the official channels of the Municipality.
Regarding the Municipality’s sponsorship request for support of its cultural activities, Mr. Iliopoulos approved the sponsorship of 15,000 euros. Also, for the sponsorship request concerning the upgrade of the courtyard of the Alonissos Primary School, Mr. Iliopoulos approved the sponsorship of 25,000 euros. The Municipal Committee of the Municipality, in its meeting, accepted the grant of 15,000 euros to support its cultural activities and the grant of 25,000 euros to upgrade the courtyard of the Alonissos Primary School.
It should be noted that the economy of Alonissos is mainly based on tourism. The island is suitable for different types of tourism, such as natural, diving, adventure, religious, medical, and honeymoon. Alonissos mainly attracts tourists seeking relaxation and tranquility, since it is a quieter island compared to the rest of the Sporades.
