New Metropolitan Attica participated with great success in the East Med Yacht Show 2025, the leading professional yacht exhibition held in the picturesque Poros.
The presence of New Metropolitan Attica at the exhibition highlighted the dynamic role of the region in marine tourism and the development of the maritime industry. At the specially designed pavilion, the president of the New Metropolitan Attica, Dimitris Fragakis, and his associates had the opportunity to present the unique opportunities offered by the region for marine tourism, including modern marinas, safe anchorages, high-level services, and the unparalleled natural beauty of its coasts and islands.
During the exhibition, important meetings were held with representatives of the yachting, tourism, and business communities, sealing the intention for further collaborations and investments in the region. Mr. Fragakis emphasized the importance that the Attica Region attaches to the sustainable development of marine tourism, environmental protection, and the upgrading of infrastructure, with the aim of providing a comprehensive and quality experience to visitors. “On behalf of our Regional Governor, Nikos Hardalias, I would like to congratulate Antonis Stelliatos and his team, who have been organizing a very large and important event for 21 consecutive years. Not once because we ourselves do not understand the importance of such events. This particular event is of great value and scope as it is one of the largest yacht shows in Europe.”
The day after the inauguration, the Athens-Attica and Argosaronic Hoteliers Association organized the event on the theme “New Technologies in Hospitality and Tourism,” where tourism issues were discussed extensively with distinguished representatives of the tourism industry. From the New Metropolitan Attica, the president, Dimitris Fragkakis, pointed out: “The islands of Athens can play a decisive role in the development of our tourism product. We, as the Region of Attica, will be here with our doors, phones, and ears always open. Whatever is needed, we will be here. In the coming period, we will hold a broad consultation with the people of the islands of Athens, because each island has its own characteristics. We will have the possibility in a few weeks to have a more in-depth discussion on the issues concerning your island and see how we will shape a tourism product that will have added value abroad”.
