The location of the Ammouliani tourist boat shelter was approved

The location and environmental conditions study of the Ammouliani Tourist Boat Shelter, in the municipality of Aristotelis, was approved by decision of the Ministers of Environment and Energy and Tourism.

The project is being carried out by the Municipal Port Fund of the Municipality of Aristotelis.

The Ammouliani tourist boat shelter project is being located in the eastern part of the existing port. The main individual elements of the project are summarized as follows:

Widening of the existing 120 m long windward breakwater by approximately 4 m.
Extension of the existing windward breakwater by 35 m., in order to achieve more effective wave protection in the western port basin.
Installation of a 50 m. floating pier inside the pier.
Coastal quays with a total length of 65 m.
Land zone works (administration building 96 m., tanks for the collection of liquid waste from tourist boats, ramp for the lifting/launching of small tourist boats).
Road connection to the settlement network and parking areas.
Water supply, electric lighting and electricity supply networks for the shelter and supply for boats through corresponding pillars.
Fire protection network
The land zone of the tourist shelter amounts to 4,044.19 m. while its sea zone is 16,840.51 m.
The capacity of the tourist shelter is 50 boats of categories I-IV.
The existing port has been developed in front of the largest settlement of Ammouliani, on its northeastern side. Its port infrastructure is developed in two separate sections, between which a sandy beach is interspersed. In the eastern section, a windward breakwater has been constructed, with vertical fronts. Inside the basin, there are coastal quays. In the western section, the works include a pier and a small jetty, while ramps have been formed in the center of the pier as well as at the end of the pier.

In contact with the pier, towards the pier side, there is a short quay, while in the remaining, intermediate section of the coast, small-diameter boulders have been placed for protection from waves. On the sandy shore, near the pier, a rectangular rainwater drain flows out.
