No ferry service in Greece on November 28 as seamen join general strike

Greek ships will remain docked at the country’s ports on Wednesday November 28, as seamen will join a 24-hour strike called by the private sector union GSEE, according to ekathimerini.com

The Panhellenic Seamen’s Union (PNO) decided to push ahead with the strike at a meeting on Wednesday.

The seamen and other workers in the sector have been demanding wage increases to make up for years of cuts implemented as part of the austerity programs of successive Greek governments.
