Chamber of Cyclades proposes ferry connection between Rafina port and Syros island

The Chamber of Cyclades islands in Greece has sent a letter to the Shipping Ministry asking for Syros to be included in the ferry connections from the port in Rafina, near Athens and not only by its current

Until now, only the islands of  Tinos, Mykonos, Paros, Ios and Naxos are serviced and the Chamber argues that if Syros is also connected at least three times a week its traffic with the rest of the Cyclades island group will be greatly improved.

Such a connection, along with the current itinerary to the port of Piraeus, would also facilitate a significant number of cruise passengers and tourists, as well as a large number of permanent residents who frequently need to travel between the islands for health reasons.
